Street Style: #ApeWalk Edition

Partying is one of Tennessee State University's favorite pastime, and it's always a good time when you're partying with the Alphas. The Alphas presented their annual party, The Ape Walk which is always guaranteed to bring out numerous people. The motto when going to a Tennessee State party is you can never be overdressed, and we definitely hold true to that motto. Check out some of the fashionable fits that caught my eye.

First. let's start it off with myself. I kept it simple with a red elastic dress and a pair of super bad heels that brought the outfit to life.



Next, we have my favorite outfit of the night brought to you by @ree_theboss. She is always bringing her followers the latest trends, and she stays ahead of the game. Just look at how she paired her NYC crop top with her pencil leather skirt, PERFECTION right?

Now, let's switch it up a bit with @ooh_la_lani and her classic yet classy style. She paired an elegant pink dress with a pair of studded heels. She provided such a refreshing and chic look for the club scene.

 

Those were just a couple of outfits that caught my eye, but Homecoming is coming end of October just wait on it.

Welcome back my favorite fashionista from the Chi back to grace my blog once again. I am all for simple yet fashionable wear. I am major fan of less is more, and this outfit @iam_michele is rocking proves my point exactly. She mixed leather pants and a bomb fitted cap to create magic. This look is so versatile it can be worn during the day, and it can be worn at night. This tomboy chic look gets a thumbs up in my book.

Street Style Spotlight: Taking it Back to Memphis with @JELLYB_

This edition of Street Style is a spotlight to one of the most influential dressers in Memphis, and that's a big title to fill if I must say so myself. Here I bring to you, @JellyB_. Jelly is the owner of Jazzy Boutique , which is a fabulous boutique downtown that has some of the best pieces you can find in Memphis. 

Now let's talk about her fashion sense.. one word .. PERFECT. It's the perfect mix between high fashion and urban wear. The great thing about her sense of dress is it is so versatile. You can see her in 6 inch heels one day and Chanel sneakers the next day. The versatility of her attire is one thing that caught my eye from the jump, and I just knew from then on she would be great. Jelly is constantly going above and beyond to remain on top of the fashion game, and let me tell you it's working. I myself, look up to her as a fashion icon of Memphis. I am all for fashion that blows your mind, but yet is still simple and chic so that viewers can grasp the concept of your outfit. Jelly's clothing speaks for her, it tells you to SHUT UP and PAY ATTENTION or more like step your game up. But whatever the message is that you conceive when checking out her awesome array of outfits, one thing is for sure is that she is on top right now.

Hello my beautiful followers, let me first start by saying sorry for the shortage of post. Keeping up with a blog is a very hard task when you're juggling a million and one other things, but to get things back into the groove let's check out this Street Style by @ohsopretty45.

I'm in love with this outfit..from the cheetah print to the neon color pants ..this look is perf. Prints and neon always can make any outfit superb, so don't be afraid to mix the two. This look is great for a campus look, but so versatile where you can add a pair of heels with it and go out for a night on the town. Emmy Awards 2013: And the Best Dressed Award goes to..

The time has rolled around once again for television lovers to grab their popcorn and grab a seat right in front of the big screen. The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony awarding the best in prime-time television premiered last night. While most fans where watching to see who would take home that golden statue, I was watching to see what ensemble caught my eye on the red carpet.  Every television star you could imagine packed the house last night from Kerry Washington to Jessica Lange. Stars were in attendance all in hopes of taking home that golden statue that every star lone for.  

Now let’s get to the good part. To say the least, I was not at all impressed by the ensembles chosen for this glorious event. The theme screamed to me simple chic, I didn’t experience the excitement that I usually would experience while looking at outfits on the red carpet. One thing I can say about the Emmy Award’s red carpet is that it was definitely not a Met Gala Ball red carpet. While I was scrolling through the images I did happen to find a couple looks that caught my eye and that screamed “I deserve an Emmy award.”

Let’s start off with one of the most watched television series star, Kerry Washington, which shocked thousands when Best Actress in Drama went to Claire Danes..again.  One thing we can say, because I’m sure a lot can be said about this disappoint for Scandal fans is that she looked stunning while losing.

Shall we continue? Next, we have Jessica Lange in Escada. Stunning, if I must say so myself.

Here we have the sensational Rose Byrne in her rose pink ensemble designed by the one and only, Calvin Klein.

First, let me say she is one of my favorite dressers from Memphis and I don't have many. So kudos to her for always being styled to the tee. Now she isn't a student at TSU, but she is only 30 minutes away at MTSU. This fashion killer's style is always chic and girly. But sometimes she likes to switch it up, and go tomboy chic. Check her out below as she brings Jordan's and mini skirts together to create perfection.

With Fall right around the corner, knowing the latest trends right off the runway are a MUST. Fall is coming back and it’s with a vengeance. This Fall you can count on seeing leather of all sorts, punk rock back and in full affect, and a chance to see a winter wonderland at least wardrobe wise.  

1.     Snow White

Who said that we can only wear white on Labor Day?  Designers Tommy Hilfiger and Derek Lam, just to name a few are making their own rules this year by dressing models in all white. With head to toe white making the strongest impression on the runway, you’re sure to see it worn any time of the day.

The classic business suit has evolved thanks to designers. No more of the typical pants and blazer duo, there is now a new suit in town. Lace and peplum are evolving the business casual look with an edge that every business woman needs to be unstoppable.

 Fall means lower temperatures and chic thigh high boots right? At least, that was the image designers wanted to display. Thigh high boots went right along with the rebirth of the Glam-Rock era that was seen everywhere on the runway. Welcome Tennessee State Street Style.

I am starting a new section of my blog (tab coming soon) called Tennessee State Street Style. This new section goes hand in hand with the outfit of the day, but I separated the two. The #ootd post will be submission sent by my fellow viewers of the blog while Tennessee State Street Style is outfits I see on campus or Intsagram that I feel the need to post on my blog. I am definitely a big fan of TSU style, so I decided this is the perfect way to show the world wide web how we dress and to get students on the campus involved with Camoxfurs.  Now every Street Style may not be from campus, it could just be a look on Instagram that I like, but most of the outfits will be from my campus.

 

To start off my new section it's only right that I use one of the most fashionable ladies on campus haling all the way from the Chi. Her name is @jendayiw who is also the background for Camoxfurs. 

 

 

Her style is definitely chic yet comfortable. She is the type of dresser that does not do too much, but does just enough to create perfection.

 Like I have said many times before, Tennessee State University is nothing but a big fashion show. Seriously you have girls in 6 inch heels walking the halls with a face that is beat to the Gods. But that's not the half of it, we have men it tailored suits on a Monday,just because. It's only right that Camoxfurs has two outfit of the days, because it was extremely too hard to just pick one.

Here we have Devonte Johnson @drdental16, he is actually one of my favorite male dressers on the campus. He always has such a tailored look and this time is no different. His outfit immediately caught my eye because of the amazing color scheme. The pastel colors go great together to pull off a nice tailored look. Check him out !

So anybody that knows anything about me, especially from just follow me on Instagram would see that I adore visionary stylist @Ugo Mozie. Virgo Season is here and its quickly taking over. And guess who happens to be a sassy Virgo as well? Of course it's me! My 19th Birthday is quickly approaching, and boy will I be celebrating this Sunday, August 25th.

 

So in preparation for this major holiday, of course I have to pre-game or pre-party . What is pre-partying you ask? It's partying before the actual date of your birthday. To get back into the swing of things, I am starting back my fashionista/fashion-forward person of the week. This title is for any person that owns what they wear and rocks it to their best ability. So I have been on Instagram scooping out possible applicants, and I struck gold.

    Definitely a fan of Angela Simmons now days, she is doing big things in the Big Apple. As her career elevates so does her style. I'm that Instagram follower that checks her page everyday just to see what she is rocking. 

Angela posted a picture yesterday of her outfit, and I instantly fell in love. Here she is rocking a coral green Peter Pan collar dress with her Stuart Weitzman Gladiator Sandals. This look just scream 'girly girly' with a playful edge.

So I have been quite busy with a million and one other things going on in my life, and I rarely make time to upload my personal outfits. 

I have been going to church a lot lately, and I mean A LOT. So I decided I would switch it up, and give you an outfit of the day ..church edition. 

Here I am wearing a light pink sheer blouse from Forever 21 along with a cheetah print skirt from my favorite, the Kardashian Kollection (Sears), and I topped off my outfit with a pair of nude sandal heels from Forever 21. Aside from being Fabolous' girlfriend/stylist, Emily B has something else to add on her list of accomplishments. Emily B uploaded the picture above on Instagram introducing her newest endeavor which is her own shoe line called 'Emily B'. Emily told followers that the line is dropping this fall.  I'm definitely excited to see what she has to bring to the table.

Big Sean recently I mean minutes ago just released the album cover for his upcoming album, Hall of Fame. Think that's dope? Check out the album cover for the deluxe version.

The whole cover has a 90's vibe to it with the gold jewelry, timberland boots, and neon colors. I'm ready to hear what Big Sean has for the fans, and he also noted on IG he would be releasing new music next week. Hall of Fame is set to be in stores August 27th.
